Each September our community celebrates by having a festival called Pekin Marigold Festival. This occurs on the second weekend in September. In 2021 the dates will be September 11 and September 12, 2021.

Our club has found that a used book sale has been quite successful. Not only to allow community members to be educated through the reading opportunities that happen as a result but also to raise money for our Scholarship Fund.

If you have books that you’d like to donate we can arrange to have them picked up throughout the year. Please contact Susan McCabe (jmsm228@gmail.com) and we will glad pick them up from you. We do a mass collection the last of August and beginning of September.
