Each September our community celebrates by having a festival called Pekin Marigold Festival. This occurs on the second weekend in September.

Our club has found that a used book sale has been quite successful. Not only to allow community members to be educated through the reading opportunities that happen as a result but also to raise money for our Scholarship Fund.

We do a mass collection of books during late August and early September.
